Creation Zone

When I look for God,
I notice the ways other people have experienced God’s communication.

I hear others share about the miracles in their lives.
But since those miracles have happened to me,
I can doubt that God is with me.

I read about pillars of fire in the Hebrew Scriptures,
and the disciples on fire in the Christian Scriptures.
But if those experiences haven’t happened to me,
                I can continue to doubt.

What I forget to notice is that
God connected with each of these people in a brand new way.
It was a unique experience just for them.

So for me,
it probably will be unique too.

Now I’m watching within my own life and needs
for God to create a special way to connect with me.

Sometimes it can be spectacular.
Most times,
    God works within everyday experiences.

But even then, I find God to be wildly creative with me.

I am one of God’s Creation Zones.

I just need to pay attention,
        give up control,
and remember that Creation isn’t over.

It’s one of god’s favorite things to do.
