Miracle Worker

Consider what it took to get your two parents together.
                        That means you’re a miracle

And then consider the incredible series of events
that had to happen precisely a certain way for you to be born.

You could easily see that your arrival in this world
                        is really a major miracle.
And up to that point,
you really didn’t have much to do with that process
                            except to arrive alive.

Since then, you do have something to say about your life.

So, what miracles are you working on now?

What wonderful things are you doing that amaze others?

Who do you love?
        And who loves you?

If any relationship has love in it,
            and you’ve contributed that love,
then you’re still a miracle in progress.

Even if you’ve found yourself discouraged or sad,
and the miracles don’t seem to be happening to you lately,
there’s a simple way to turn it all around.

Stop relying on others to produce all the miracles,
and remind yourself that you have some control now.

You just have to take charge of your life and your love
and get into relationships with people
who will respect you and appreciate you.

Then you will find yourself back into making miracles happen.

Your being here is already a miracle,
                produced by other miracle workers.
Now it’s your turn.

And the best way to work a new miracle is
to start is with the people right around you
                to build a new friendship,
or make a difference in someone else’s life.
