The last time you prayed:
Who started the conversation?
What did you talk about?
What did you ask for?
When was the last time God started your prayer-conversation?
When did you last talk about what’s on God’s mind?
What has God asked from you lately?
When we compare what we ask from God
to what God asks from us,
it’s scary.
We want money, things, control, or status.
God only wants us:
our life,
our friendship,
our soul,
our real selves.
We don’t ever want enough from God
because our picture of God is too small.
Our wants,
expectations,
even our dreams
are too small.
On the other hand,
God’s image of us must be huge,
because God always keeps asking us for everything!
