You’re here.

You’re in this room right now.
                I feel it.

You’re involved in my life right now.
                I sense it.

You work through every relationship I have.
                I see it.

You love me without controlling me.

You communicate using more than words,
                stretching me to do the same.

You know the difference between involvement and interference,
                     between love and control.
                     And I am learning those differences too.

You have always been my best friend,
                my companion who never leaves,
                my teacher who expands my mind,
                and 
                my guide who takes me places in my soul I’ve never been.

And on the days when life scares me too much,
            you reassure me,
            you comfort me,
            and 
            you show me better choices I can make.

My God-Friend,
    thank you for life,
           for love,
        and 
           for the chance to know you.
